Working for yourself and carving out an unconventional career path can sometimes seem like utter madness. There are plenty of days when I question if I’m working hard enough, if I’m going about things the right way, and what even the “right way” is supposed to look like. And then a little thing comes along that reminds me how lucky I am to get to do what I do despite all the uncertainty and questions. Like this week when I got the great news that an image I styled made the front cover of the current issue of the beautiful publication, Tulle Magazine.
This beautiful shot was taken in Italy by the inspiring duo Brumley and Wells and brought to reality thanks to an epic team of inspiring creatives whom I now call friends. It’s a little reminder to keep going and keep creating content that I feel passionate about and above everything else to be thankful for the adventures that this styling path has brought me. I haven’t been very good at blogging this year for a variety of reasons and I’ve come to the conclusion that that’s ok. We all need a little time to step back and reassess why we do what we do. Having had that much needed time for reflection where I focused on doing as much as I could away from the computer screen, I hope that as we go forward into 2015 in a few short weeks, one of my resolutions will be to be more balanced in my presence here and perhaps to be a bit more open to sharing what’s going on in my world. For now I’m looking forward to a wonderful Christmas break with my family and friends, hope you get to enjoy the same!
