Growing up we were taught that travel is an education in itself, and thanks to that, I get to blame my parents for my irrepressible love of escaping and exploring somewhere new! I’m lucky enough to get the chance to spend a couple of days in Berlin this week and I’m so excited about it. I was there once before about ten years ago, performing in the stunning Konzerthaus venue, but thanks to a busy rehearsal schedule and a lack of planning on our one day off, I can’t say I’ve really seen much of the city. I’m going into this one equally unprepared, but judging by what I’ve heard, simply wandering should reveal plenty of treasures to keep me occupied. A quick bit of research into foodie haunts unearthed some of the beauties below, which I hope I’ll make it to. From local delis to more upscale restaurants it looks like the pared back Bauhaus design still permeates the city with the overall premise of form following function. Do any of you have any must see Berlin places and spaces? Any suggestions would be most welcome and you can take a peek at my instagram to see where I end up!
