Thank you all so much for all the support, kind words and encouragement about the launch of my new portfolio site last week, I really appreciate it! As promised I’m back to regular posting from today and I have a Summer of inspiring blog posts and eye candy from the world of art, design, weddings, food, fashion and interiors ahead to keep me busy, so I hope one or two of you will stop by for a little inspiration. First up today, and testament to how behind I got with posting, is the lookbook shoot I styled for The White Gallery Boutique. This shoot was one of those rare gems where crisp Irish winter sunshine combined with gorgeous dresses and a stellar team. I was so delighted to have it featured in Issue 5 of Magnolia Rouge Magazine. You can read a little about my inspiration for the concept below as well as some of my favourites who brought it to life. If you are on the hunt for a dream dress at the moment that’s just that little bit different, I can’t recommend Rachel’s beautiful collection enough, as you’ll see from the images, it’s definitely worth a trip!
“Sweeping woodlands command the landscape over the Vale of Avoca in County Wicklow. Not much has changed in this corner of Ireland in the last century, so much so that winding up the tree lined avenue of Clonwilliam House allowed us to step from one world to another. This was the basis for our inspiration; a land of sleeping beauty, where time had come to a standstill. This story was set against a palette of copper, mauve and dusty rose, accented with poetic Spanish moss and the craftsmanship of delicate lace and shimmering veils. The dappled sunshine danced like forest fairies and the breeze through the trees whispered of ancient love stories, which only added to the sense of alchemy in the air.”
