Dutch Interior Styling Trends…
Woonbeurs and Binti Home

Happy Friday everyone, and especially happy Friday for anyone who has a three day weekend! This is the first weekend in a while that I’m not away for work so I’m delighted to be spending a few days in Cork for the Jazz Festival. Anyone else have any fun plans? To kick start the relaxed feeling I’m delighted to share another taste of the amazing Dutch Design Trade Show Woonbeurs that I visited in Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago. Like I mentioned in this post, this annual fair brings together the best of Dutch designers and stylists to showcase the interiors trends for the coming year. Each of the major Dutch interiors magazine created a house for the event and one of the main ones to catch my eye was the Ariadne at Home space styled by Marlise Does.

Filled with a mix of industrial and vintage pieces, tied together with a palette of neutrals and pale green, there was a distinctive calm mood throughout the whole space. Delicate details like feather installations were offset with metallic baskets, chairs and candlesticks which stopped it from feeling too frothy. As my iphone snaps weren’t quite up to scratch, one my fellow bloggers Souraya Hassan of the gorgeous interiors blog Binti Home very kindly allowed me to feature her images below to give you a glimpse of the space. Souraya is a stylist and designer in Holland who works on so many different interesting projects from event styling, interior styling and decor to photographing house tours for magazines and styling rooms for Dutch television. Her style is fresh and colourful and there are so many pretty things to discover on her blog so be sure to go and say hello! I hope to share more of the amazing spaces encountered at the fair soon, the barn created by VT Wonen was a particular treat. In the mean time, have a wonderful weekend, whatever you have planned!
