Interior Styling Trend…
Glass Demijohn Decoration

I’m always looking for ways to bring the outside into our living space as nothing brightens up a room like fresh flowers or a plant or two.  As our apartment tends to be on the dark side, plant experiments haven’t been too successful (I will master my green thumb one of these years!) so when I spotted this glass demijohn (hadn’t a clue what they were called until I started my research!) I was more than happy to add it to my prop collection. Demijohns are glass vessels often in green and blues which were used originally to store wine, oil and other liquids. They’ve been popping up all over the interior design world recently and look amazing simply left as they are or with some branches and greenery added. I picked mine up in Woodies a few months back and they can be found online in the usual places like Etsy, Ebay and Amazon. Here are a few of my favourites in action including a little shot I took of a corner of our apartment complete with a Michelle Armas painting, a bit of my book collection and ceramic owls that used to belong to my grandmother. Anyone else come across one of these before? How did you use it in your space?
