One of my favourite things about the creative process is learning more about the behind the scenes details and how it all comes together. So carrying on from last months From Inspiration to Reality segment I wanted to share a little about the concept and styling for the Irish coastal editorial featured on Once Wed. My affinity for the sea and the raw wildness of the Irish coastline was a natural starting point for the whole styling process and I tried to bring the feeling of freedom and lightness into the whole board. The colours and shades of the sea and coast have always intrigued me, so I couldn’t wait to infuse a whole shoot with their subtleties. The boards below were my starting point of inspiration and I shared these with all the talented folk who worked with me on the shoot to make sure we were all working towards the same vision. The other shots are just a few quick snaps taken by me while out and about on various beach and cliffside adventures. It feels a bit strange sharing photos that I’ve taken myself here but as the blog becomes more about my styling I hope to do more of it! You can see how this board came to life here and here.
