Sun Soaked Elegance…
An Irish Wedding by Inspired by Love

I always know I’m in for a treat when an email from Sona of Inspired by Love appears in my inbox, and the sun soaked wedding of Dave and Yvonne is case in point. Although Irish weather is rarely predictable, the sun has a habit of appearing when school returns in September (I used to hate that!) and they used that history to their advantage, choosing to celebrate their wedding in the first week of the new term. I think you’ll agree their gamble paid off, and the garden of Flemings Restaurant in Cork was the perfect spot for their special day. From Darth Vader’s theme tune, to bubble machines, Dave and Yvonne are the perfect example of staying true to yourself when it comes to your wedding day!

“We met 7 years ago in UCC, at a Scifi film night. Two years ago we went to Germany and Austria on holiday, and after much worry on Daves part as to when the right moment might be, he asked me whilst at the townhall square in Vienna.
As we were having a wedding with fewer than 70 people, we wanted a small venue and also a place where we could also get married in addition to the reception. So we began looking at country houses, but then found Flemings. The building and grounds are beautiful and, and the food is wonderful there.

Because our love of Scifi brought us together, we chose to walk back down the aisle after being married, to the Imperial March from Star Wars. It’s the distinctive song that plays when Darth Vadar appears, and everyone roared laughing when they realised!”
