Emerald and Gold…Pantone Colour 2013
An Opulent Wedding Palette

The Irish and the colour green have always had a funny relationship. We’re surrounded by it on a daily basis and tend to love or loath it for various reasons. I can fall either way, but show me opulent emerald green (which happens to be Pantone’s colour of the year!) and I am sold! When I spotted that divine wedding gown (yes it is a wedding dress, find similar here) I knew the shade was made for gold. I’m more than a little in love with this colour palette…what about you? Would you embrace green for an Irish wedding or would it just be too close to cliché?!

  1. That cutlery is lovely! You know, I was always uncertain about gold, believing it to be too gaudy, but it works well with the green, and works REALLY well when slightly bronzed so that it’s not shining too brightly.

I think people stayed away from gold for a long time but glad to see it’s making a come back! I can never resist unusual cutlery!
