2012…Wedding Glance Back

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful break over the festive season and are excited about the prospect of a fresh new start as 2013 dawns. Were there any Christmas engagements?! Looking forward to hearing all about them! I have to say, the last twelve months was one of heck of an adventure for many reasons, not least because of the amazing, chic and beautiful Irish weddings that I had the honour of sharing with you. What better way to pay homage to 2012 than to reminisce on some of those special days, filled with love, laughter and oodles of style. Be sure to click on the images to see more, and stop by here again on Friday to really get 2013 off to a great start.

Joanne and Shane’s stunning beautiful, and innately stylish wedding showed staying true to you is always worth the risk. Tying the knot in beautiful west Cork, Magda Lukas captured every inch of their gorgeous day.

I fell in love with Conor and Alise’s transatlantic love story the minute their engagement popped into my inbox last year, so I was over the moon to share their amazing day in Atlanta, Georgia. Fusing southern charm with Irish elegance Paula O’Hara flew all the way from Ireland to capture the magic.

An epic first year spent travelling around China, inspired Gillian and mark’s vintage travel celebration in the Ulster Folk Museum. Chic, stylish and fun, you know it was a wedding that you would love to have been part of, effortlessly captured by Kristi and Neal of Campbell Photography.

Stratford Lough in County Down was transformed into a wedding wonderland for Grace and Dermot’s big day, showing that picking a fantastic venue (and amazing photographer) lays the foundation for all the other decisions to come. Brideen of Photography by Brideen was the perfect choice for their simple and elegant celebration.

Rachel and Simon’s big day was filled with soft romance, perfectly set against the glamour of Castlemartyr Resort. Christina of Brosnan Photographic was on hand to capture the delicate details and prettiness that infused the whole event.

If there’s one thing that Ireland has to offer a wedding it’s stunning scenery, and this seaside wedding from Gillian Higgins Photography didn’t disappoint. A family affair filled with DIY and love, all hands were on deck to transform Louise and Edmund’s day into the country garden setting they had imagined.
