Millhouse Dreams…
A Real Wedding by Best Day Productions

I love it when real Irish brides get in touch with me to share their beautiful wedding day, and today’s gorgeous reader, Amanda did just that! Their stunning day was captured by the talent of Rodolphe from Best Day Productions and Magda Lukas, and with a dream team like that, I know Amanda and Fergal will enjoy reliving the day for many years to come! She lets us in on how it all came together.

“The main inspiration for our wedding day was those beautiful rustic weddings you see on American blogs like Style me Pretty. The Millhouse in Slane was the only venue we visited and we both fell in love with it instantly, it was such a laid back venue which allowed us to be ‘us’ and to be as creative as we wanted.  We kept the day casual, no top table, a cake buffet with our favourite cakes, Cumberland sausage and mash for mains, a lemonade stand, mismatched centerpieces etc.  The venue is stunning and doesn’t need much!  But we worked our theme around the rustic look of the venue.  Both Liberty Flowers and Petite Fleurs were excellent at capturing that ‘wild’ look in their bouquets and arrangements.  The centerpieces incorporated mismatched tin cans, apothecary jars, amber bottles, mason jars and lace with beautiful flowers by Petite Fleurs. At night the venue is stunning, lots of fairlylights add a really magical feel to the venue.  Admittedly we were blessed with weather which really allowed us make the most of the outdoor areas!

Magda Lukas and Rodolphe from Best Days Productions really complement each other in terms of their style and creativity.  They really worked together on the day and both had such an unobtrusive style yet managed to capture moments we would probably have forgotten about otherwise (the days goes so fast!).  Roldolphe works with a small and portable video camera (with no obtrusive lights) so you are never conscious of him filming you!  A lot of guests actually thought he was a 2nd photographer.  Both my husband and I are not fans of traditional wedding films.  We’ve been to so many weddings where the videographer has a huge camera with bright lights and then proceeds to ask guests to leave a message for the bride and groom!  It was so refreshing to come across Best Days with their unique and artistic style.  Rodolphe went out of his way to make us feel relaxed and never conscious so we now have a wonderful and original keepsake to cherish.

Thanks so much for sharing your day with us Amanda & thanks to Rodolphe & Magda for giving us a glimpse of your fantastic work! And if there are any other brides out there who would love to share all the beautiful details and heart and soul that went into your day, be sure to say hello
