To celebrate Style Serendipity’s six month anniversary, I though a present of sorts was in order, from me, to all of you, for being so lovely! What better way to say thank-you, than to offer one lucky couple the chance to win Sound of Serendipity to play at their wedding. So after a flurry of lovely entries, filled with love stories and love songs, I’m excited to announce our competition finalists, Ciara Daly & Caroline McGrory!
I’d love your help on this one, it’s always so hard to pick a winner, so we’re putting it to a reader vote! Simply read their lovely stories below, and then head over to Style Serendipity’s facebook page. Leave a comment telling us who you think should win, and more importantly why! Only one comment per person on our facebook page will count, and in order for a vote to be valid you must share why you think the winner should win!
Voting for a winner is open until Wednesday the 9th of May.
“It was difficult for us to pick our love song, there are so many songs that remind us of stories, but our first concert together was Bryan Adams in Marley Park.
I was 17 and we drove to Dublin, our parents wouldn’t let us stay over night in Dublin for the concert so we had to drive home again.
We headed up early for the concert and while waiting for the gates to open we sat in the park on a bench and I started singing Bryan Adams song Heaven to Brian and he said “Oh thats a nice song who sings that?” I laughed and said it’s Bryan Adams!
Hearing that song reminds me of that concert and the good laugh we had and how funny it was that our parents wouldn’t let us stay overnight and now we are getting married.
This is the most exciting time of our lives and even though we are already together 11 years our journey together is really getting started and I guess being this happy it really does feel like Heaven.”

“Well i cant lie we never really had “a song” as such, well nothing that one would want to listen to at a wedding reception.
So for the past few months we have been searching old records that my parents had and trawling the internet to find a song that would both be special to us and that stands the test of time(harder than we first thought).
So one Saturday morning i heard this playing in my parents kitchen and my dad singing along to it, badly may i add haha
Immediately i searched You Tube to play it for my Fiance and we both just knew this had to be our first dance song.
Its by Collin Raye – One Boy,One Girl. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we do.”
Ooh it’s going to be a tough one to call, they’re both such lovely stories and songs! Thanks so much to everyone who entered. We’ll look forward to announcing the winner next week!
