For most brides, starting the hunt for ‘The Dress” is a defining moment when the wedding adventure starts to feel real! It can be an incredibly exciting search, but equally frustrating if what you have in mind isn’t immediately obvious. I’m always on the look out for fresh and beautiful collections that are slightly out of the ordinary, and when I stumbled upon the treasures at London line, Belle and Bunty, I couldn’t resist sharing!
While planning their own weddings, designers, Hannah Conian Thompson and Alice Shreeve (who’s childhood nicknames were Belle and Bunty!) realised that there was a need for a bridal line that embraced vintage style, in a modern context. They wanted their dresses to be classic and elegant with a bit of attitude, without sacrificing femininity and romance.
I’ve chosen a few of my favourite styles from the new collection, but be sure to take a peep at their website to see the rest! All the styles are available in Ivory and Cream, and range from 1200 – 1750 pounds. The collection is now available in Vintage Bride and Sharon Hoey Bridal Couture in Dublin, or if you’re looking for an excuse for a weekend away in London, you can also try on these beauties in the Belle and Bunty Boutique.
Creating a line that is modern but timeless is no easy feat, but I think you’ll agree the results are simply stunning. Waterlow Park in north London was the perfect setting for the celebratory inspiration shoot, to mark the success of their first year in the bridal industry. Judging by the beautiful images above, I’ve no doubt that there will be lot’s more to look forward to from Belle and Bunty, so watch this space!
