Getting to share one of the most important days in peoples lives, and all the lovely details that go with it, is definitely one of my favourite things about Style Serendipity! So often though, I wish I could step into the gorgeous photos to be a guest at their wedding, and get to know the couple a bit better!
When this glamour-fest landed in my inbox, from the ever fantastic Glass Jar Photography, I immediately knew it was one of those weddings! You might remember their gorgeous work from Taylor and Oscar’s wedding? This wedding is another gem! If the stunning images don’t convince you of the same thing, wait until you see the beautiful video of their day! I think it may be one of my favourite wedding videos ever…just watch it!
Taylor and Seth were married last November in Nashville Tennessee, and embraced an old hollywood theme from start to finish. Taylor certainly looks the epitome of screen siren don’t you think? I love her statement necklace, something I hope we’ll see more of on Irish brides in 2012. And did you see those shoes? Would you believe she decorated them herself, gluing on all the pearls by hand!
Crisp yellows and vibrant reds by Belles Fleurs were used as accent colours to compliment the autumnal setting, and they really are a stunning addition to the overall look of the day. I’ve seen so many American weddings featuring Craspedia flowers or Billy Buttons as they’re also known. They’re not quite as common on this side of the pond but they look great as a structural button hole, or bouquet. Maybe another trend that will start appearing among Irish couples in 2012?
The gorgeous details don’t stop there! Taylor accessorised each of the lemon BHLDN bridesmaid and flower girl dresses with a different brooch and sash. And how adorable are the flower girl and page boy?!
Taylor and Seth chose to see each other for the first time before the ceremony began. I know a ‘first look’ isn’t for everyone, but it can be a wonderful moment to share together, without all the eyes of your guests on you! Whitney and Bethany of Glass Jar Photography captured the emotion of the moment so beautifully, it feels like I’m living it with them.
They continued their evening at The Smith House, a grand town house in Nashville, dating from the 1800′s. It is full of historic features, perfectly suited to their glamorous vintage theme. One of the nicest details in the ballroom, is a fireplace that Andrew Jackson, former U.S president, stood in front of to be married. Surely a good omen for the future for Taylor and Seth!
They carried the red accent through to their cake and table decor. I love the red Winter berries, sealed with golden wax onto the menu, a lovely feature for a Winter wedding.
Who would have guessed from the start of the post that their wedding took place in November! Taylor embraced the cooler temperatures in the evening and completed her Old Hollywood look with a stunning fur coat. I would never have thought of putting a brown fur coat with a wedding dress but I love how it works all together.
And the perfect touch to finish the evening? Sparklers of course! A magical end to a magical day! Thanks so much to Whitney and Bethany from Glass Jar Photography for sharing another stunning wedding. And there’s so much more to be seen on their blog, go see!
If any of you are lucky enough to be living in or near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Whitney and Bethany are offering a session give away to one lucky couple while they will be there in February! If you’re interested be sure to get in touch pronto, before someone else beats you to it! Lucky for you, Ireland is a bit more than a hop, skip and a jump from Brazil, otherwise I’d be fighting you for it!
Don’t forget to check out their videography talents too!
