Hand Cut Paper Wedding Art

I swear I’m not dropping hints for a first anniversary wedding present…! But you might remember the spectacular work of Julene Harrison from the Time for Tea post a few months back?! I was so blown away by her hand cut paper creations that I just had to find out more.

Laser cut designs are beginning to feature more and more in wedding stationary and decor. Some of Julene’s most popular creations are available as laser cuts through her Etsy shop, but what’s really impressive is that the ones you see above were cut by hand! I can barely cut a straight line through paper with a scissors, so I can only imagine how much work must go into the hand cut custom designs!

The sky’s the limit when it comes to personal commissions. If you can dream it, it’s pretty likely Julene can create it! Choose lyrics from your favourite song, capture the place where you got engaged, or even have a self portrait of you both, created from a few photos! Also the size, colour and shape can all be tweaked to suit your personal taste.

There’s so much potential for creating your own striking piece of wedding art to display during your big day. But really, I think these creations should be saved as a gift for someone special! It can be hard sometimes to find original and personal wedding presents, and I know I’d be over the moon if someone commissioned a work like this to mark an occasion (ahem!).

You know those traditional symbols that go with each wedding anniversary? Conveniently the first anniversary gift is paper! I’m not sure you could find a paper present with more of a wow factor if you tried! Julene is happy to create a piece for any occasion, not just weddings. And the really good news? There’s 15% off all commissions for the month of January so if you like what you see, get in touch here!

Glad I’m not the only one who’s ‘craftily challenged’ when it comes to scissors! Love Julene’s creations though, she’s unbelievably talented!
