You might remember Lunaphoto’s stunning images from the aviation inspiration board back in October? Well their photos today equally have the wow factor, capturing the beautiful celebration of Lydia and Cote in California.
With Winter in full force, it’s nice to see a glimpse of warm light and sunshine in these images…even if we don’t get this light in Ireland at the best of times!
Lydia and Cote chose to have their wedding celebration in a private residence which really contributed to the intimate party atmosphere. Using a gorgeous marquee as a starting point, they enlisted the help of amorology and twigg botanicals to make their vision become a reality!
I think the image above has to be my favourite from the day! It completely captures the giddy excitement and emotion that comes with becoming husband and wife in front of all your family and friends.
Paula and Michael of Lunaphoto did a phenomenal job of capturing all the special moments, shared not only by Lydia and Cote, but also their guests!
The colour palette for the day centered on fresh spring greens, milky whites and hints of lavender. It’s a beautiful combination which works especially well when offset by natural textures and antique silver. Although it looks gorgeous lit up in the Californian sunlight, I think it would work equally well at an Irish wedding, creating a sophisticated and elegant vibe.
Did you spot the sweetheart table above? I know we’re all about the top table tradition here in Ireland, but it’s quite common for newlyweds in America to have a special table reserved just for them. My husband and I chose not to have a top table at our wedding, preferring instead to sit at a round table in the centre of the room. I hadn’t considered a sweetheart table at the time, but it certainly is an adorable idea!
What are your thoughts? Would you consider it for your big day, or would sitting the love birds apart from the bridal party be pushing the boat out too far from tradition?!
A feast for the eyes don’t you think? thanks so much to Paula and Michael for sharing your talent! If you’d like a little slice of California at your big day, it’s worth noting that Lunaphoto are available for travel at destination friendly rates, and would be delighted to capture an Irish celebration. So be sure to check out all more of their fab work here!
Thanks to Lydia and Cote for letting us get a glimpse of all your gorgeousness, and some much needed West Coast sunshine! Wishing you all the best for the future!
