La belle vie en…NYC?
A Parisien inspired engagement
by Scott Clark

When I first saw this chic engagement shoot by Scott Clark Photography I immediately assumed I was looking at capital of romance itself, Paris! But looks can be deceiving, would you believe it if I told you these beautiful images were actually captured on the streets of New York?!

Lucky Kristin of Bellafare, a wedding and event planning company, had been whisked off to Paris last year, with no hint of the life changing question that was about to be popped! While it would have been nice to return to Paris for their engagement shoot they decided to recreate that special time in their lives by bringing a bit of French style and romance to New York.

With the help of some breton stripes, colourful macarons and some carefully chosen locations, a little corner of France was found. I especially love the polaroid tints, and grainy black and white shots, they look straight out of a retro french film!

Clearly Scott Clark is quite the illusionist, they’re such a gorgeous set of images. I think it’s worth keeping in mind that with the right photographer any setting can be transformed to tell your own special story!
