Love is in the Air(port)!

There’ll be a few gorgeous engagement shoots coming up on Style Serendipity over the next few weeks but I thought we’d introduce the engagement concept first with a bit of aviation inspiration!

Engagement shoots are becoming more popular in Ireland, giving couples a great opportunity to have some fun in front of the camera before their big day.

Not only do you get the chance to get to know your photographer and their style, you also end up with a stunning memento of such an exciting time in your life!

While I often gravitate towards rustic and natural settings for weddings and photo shoots, sometimes it’s nice to have more architectural and structural feel to images. Browsing through Louise Kennedy’s spring summer 2011 collection, shot on location at T2 in Dublin Airport, it struck me what a stunning location for an engagement session it would be!

I love the idea of a themed session significant to you as a couple, and airports always bring to mind exciting adventures into the unknown! Couple that with some vintage style, stunning architecture and lots of love, as seen at this LAX shoot by Luna Photo, there is definitely the potential to create a sleek and stylish set of photos.
