Enchanted…An Irish Inspiration shoot
By Aspect Photography

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I came across this stunning Inspiration shoot by Pearl and Godiva and Shane O’Neil of Aspect photography a few months ago on 100 Layer Cake. While some of you may have come across the shoot already, I thought it was too crazy gorgeous not to showcase a little bit more!

I’ve long been an admirer of Pearl and Godiva’s styling, and what’s so impressive here is the diversity of Irish talent that was involved in making the shoot a reality. The statement headpieces by Moth and Bay Leaf in Cork and Antoinette O’Mahony in Tralee would make any bride, (or wedding guest for that matter!) look a million dollars. Bonzie Designs brought new life and their own twist to many of the vintage clothing pieces you see. I especially love the bolero’s, which would be a chic bridal cover up, essential in typical Irish weather.

I must admit my heart skipped a beat when I saw this stunning lace confection. Dresses like this make me curse that I missed out on the tall genes, so all you leggy brides out there, this would be an amazing look for you! Lucky for you Vintage Bride in Dublin were responsible for all the Edwardian tea dresses so maybe you could get your own bit of vintage heaven!

I love the polkadot detail on the cake from The Cake Stand in Dublin. Pearl and Godiva’s vintage yet edgy charm can be seen throughout all the table settings which, if you like what you see, can be rented for your own occasion!

Shot on location at Ballynatray Estate in Cork, it works beautifully as a wedding venue, and clearly has such potential for magical photos!

Glad to see another nod to the floral garland trend I mentioned last week. I love how it can completely transform the style of the dress you’re wearing.

I could look at this all day to be honest…gorgeous all round, and so refreshing to have some inspiration that can be followed through and sourced here in Ireland!

Well done to everyone involved, and thanks to Shane of Aspect Photography for sharing!
